In addition, spread polygeneration microgrids recent development communities enable massive installation power plants, high-performance small-size cogeneration units, electrical storage systems; moreover, properly designed local production systems make it possible optimize green sources reduce both supply costs emissions. present paper, key indicators introduced evaluate compare different technical environmental point view. proposed methodology was used assess two sites characterized presence infrastructures: Savona Campus University Genoa Italy, where microgrid has been operation since 2014 new technologies will installed near future, SPEED2030 District, an area plants (solar wind), units fed hydrogen are planned installed.
